Endodontics Department
About the Department
The Endodontics Department is one of the eleven main departments in Faculty of Dentistry at Tanta University. It is a conservative surgery department, and the department has twenty staff members and their assistants who provide educational services. The department teaches endodontics to third- and fourth-year students.
The department also conducts research in endodontics. In addition, it supervises the teaching and clinical training of postgraduate students specializing in endodontics. The department provides root canal treatment for teeth with advanced decay leading to pulpitis (inflammation of the dental pulp), as well as for teeth that have been eroded down to the roots.
The department also participates scientifically in conferences and offers advanced training courses in the same field.

The department seeks to be a leader in the fields of education, research, and the provision of advanced clinical services in the specialty of Endodontics in Egypt and the Middle East.
Department Mission
To provide distinguished educational programs that include the theoretical aspect and clinical training in order to qualify distinguished professional competencies in the field of endodontics, and to contribute effectively to scientific research through distinguished scientific research theses, in addition to serving the community by providing endodontics.
